Job Description

The Floor Coordinator is a proactive and service-oriented team leader responsible for supervising and managing daily operations on the sales floor of the duty-free store. In this role, you guide and support the cashier team, ensure smooth transaction processes, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure compliance with operational procedures.

You act as the first point of contact for cashiers, resolve operational issues, and ensure that company standards are consistently maintained.

Requirements

Education: Secondary school diploma / MBO level or equivalent (additional retail or supervisory training is an advantage)
Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail or customer-focused role

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cashiers
• Ensure compliance with duty-free procedures, policies, and service standards
• Coach and support staff to achieve optimal performance and accuracy
• Act as the first escalation point for customer complaints and transaction issues
• Monitor cashier transactions for accuracy and compliance
• Support store opening and closing procedures
• Ensure adequate staffing at cashier points
• Oversee cash handling and support daily cash reconciliations
• Report discrepancies, incidents, and operational issues
• Promote clear communication between cashiers and supervisors
• Assist customers when necessary to ensure smooth store operations
• Encourage cross-selling and upselling on the sales floor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members
• Contribute to achieving daily sales and service targets
